Our scrimshaw restoration service brings faded pieces back to life. Store owner and resident artist Brian Kiracofe can restore most any piece of scrimshaw, from belt buckles and jewelry to small heirlooms, as long as some lines from the original engraving are still visible.
Kiracofe re-engraves and re-inks the original design by hand, respecting the work of the first artist. The before-and-after photos show what is possible. To get started, send a picture of your piece for a quote. Restoration of jewelry is typically under $50; larger pieces are quoted individually.
