A tall ship portrait of the Nippon Maru on mammoth ivory by Andre Dolenko
This Nippon Maru scrimshaw by Andre Dolenko is a finely detailed portrait of the four-masted training ship under full sail, engraved on a panel of mammoth ivory. A smaller ivory nameplate below carries the ship's name, and both are mounted on black velvet in an oval wood frame.
