Product Description
A 5 1/2-inch folding knife with scrimshaw on an ivory Micarta handle
This Micarta scrimshaw knife is a 5 1/2-inch folder with an ivory-colored Micarta handle and a blue anodized bolster. The handle is engraved with a tall ship and a schooner under sail, a lighthouse on the horizon, and a whale's tail rising from the sea, and it is signed by the artist.
Micarta is a tough, layered material that holds fine engraving well and stands up to daily use, making it a good choice for a scrimshaw knife meant to be carried. The warm handle and blue metal give the knife a crisp, nautical look.
