Product Description
An intricately carved mammoth ivory frog sheltering under a leaf
This mammoth ivory frog under a leaf is carved in remarkable detail, from the bumpy texture of the frog's skin to its splayed toes and the veined leaf curling overhead. The ivory is stained in warm reddish-brown tones, giving it a lifelike look.
Mounted on a turned wood base, it comes from master carvers in Indonesia with whom Scrimshanders has worked for more than ten years. It is a fine example of intricate small-scale carving.
