Rosewood Letter Opener w/Scrimshaw - Castle Hill


This letter opener is a mix of Rosewood and Mammoth Ivory. On the right, it has original Scrimshaw done by Brian Kiracofe of the Castle Hill Light House and the words "Newport" in a banner at the top.

The Woolly Mammoth was a large prehistoric creature that roamed the earth over 10,000 to a million years ago. Now extinct, their remains are occasionally unearthed in the northern hemisphere with their long ivory tusks intact.
