Larimar is a rare, blue form of the mineral pectolite found only in the Dominican Republic. It's known for its unique, vibrant blue color, which can range from light to deep blue-green, and its distinctive patterns. The name "Larimar" comes from a combination of Larissa (the name of it's discoverer's daughter) and "mar" (Spanish for sea).
