Product Description
A fossil walrus slab pendant with an inlaid gemstone, by Tom Watson
This fossil walrus slab pendant is cut from a thin slab of fossil walrus ivory and inlaid with a round, polished gemstone. Made by carver Tom Watson, each pendant keeps the natural outline of the slab, so the shape of every piece is its own.
Fossil walrus ivory carries a mottled mix of cream, tan, and gray that forms as the ivory ages in the earth over centuries. Watson sets a single cabochon stone into the slab, where its color stands out against the soft, grained surface. A simple bail finishes the pendant for wear on a chain or cord.
