This large exotic sand art frame from Exotic Sands is a moving sand picture in a large hardwood frame, 9" x 12", set on a pivoting stand. Flip it over and watch layers of colored sand drift down through liquid, forming a new landscape of peaks and valleys every time.
The designs are by William Tabar, who layers sands from around the world: black sand from the African coast, white from Caribbean beaches, green from South America, and coral pink from southern Utah. Because the heavier and lighter sands never fully mix, each turn creates a new scene. A single scene can take from minutes to hours to settle.
