Product Description
A hand-hammered copper threshold shaped like a sperm whale
This hand-hammered copper whale threshold lays the silhouette of a sperm whale across the doorway, from its broad, square head to its tail flukes. At 30 by 7 inches, it covers a standard entry and greets every guest with a nod to Newport's whaling heritage.
The copper is hammered by hand, giving the surface a textured, living finish. Over time and foot traffic, it weathers from bright copper to warm browns and the blue-green verdigris seen on old ships' fittings and harbor roofs, so the threshold grows more beautiful with age.
