Polymer Resin reproduction of a scrimshaw cue ball.  Item measures approximately 6 1/4" tall and weighs 1 lb 7.7 ozs. Very nice piece made by Comoy's of London. Hexagonal base.  Vintage ca 1970's

6-inch brass sphere with a beautifully detailed map of the world. The globe has a unique scrimshaw style, with multi-color details and is a great addition to any collection. It was made in Great Britain and is a vintage original, though the exact date range is unknown.

The Comoy family name is renowned for being the first to offer briar pipes and interpret classic shapes in a distinctive fashion. Although ownership may have changed, this tradition of shaping and briar as the best pipe-making material has persisted into modern-day pipe making. The Comoy's were not only a successful family business in England; they represented England's oldest and largest manufacturer of briar pipes.
