Hand woven around a mold with a wood base, this classic Nantucket Basket is woven by Christa Shaw. Each basket is a unique piece of art. Look for the tightness of weave and the straight, uniformative of the vertical staves. She is a 30 plus year master who unfortunately is scaling back her production as she is in her early 80's.
