Begins as a bathymetric chart. The chart helps the artist accurately portray the topography of the island and its surrounding water. Pieces of high-quality birch are laser cut into the exact shapes of the island and water depths. They are then glued together to form the beautiful dimension our wood charts are known for. The water is hand-stained and points of interest are etched into the surface. A custom-sized solid wood frame completes the nautical wood map.
